Use Case / Tokenized RWAs / Digital Securities

Tokenized RWAs: a future exploration, not a current capability.

Identity-aware transfer and asset-to-representation relationships—requiring further validation.

How maturity is defined

01 · The coordination problem

Why this needs validation first.

If real-world assets are represented digitally, the representation must stay consistent with the underlying asset, its holders' eligibility and its transfer rules—on networks Novera has not selected.

Novera's architecture could eventually support identity-aware lifecycle and transfer workflows around such representations. That requires technical, commercial, regulatory and market validation first.

ABSTRACT MODELA relationship between an asset record and a possible digital representation.

02 · Participants

Who takes part—and who stays authoritative.

  • Asset owner or issuer

The underlying asset and its terms.

  • Eligible holder

    Their holdings and supplied information.

  • Regulated intermediariesExternal authority

Issuance, custody and brokerage, where required.

  • RegulatorsExternal authority

    Characterization and permitted activity.

  • Network adapterExternal authority

Not selected. A future architectural boundary.

04 · State to coordinate

Six stages. State accumulates around the asset.

Step through the same Novera lifecycle used by every asset class. Each stage names the primitive involved and where Novera stops.

Holder eligibility could be attached

NovaID could supply eligibility state that transfer rules depend on.

Before any implementation

What must be validated first.

Open questions that must be answered before any implementation is considered.

OPEN QUESTION 01

Legal characterization

Whether and how a representation is characterized under applicable law, by jurisdiction.

OPEN QUESTION 02

Regulated roles

Which issuance, custody, transfer and brokerage functions require licensed parties.

OPEN QUESTION 03

Network selection

Which network, if any, meets institutional requirements. None is selected; Base is under evaluation.

OPEN QUESTION 04

Asset consistency

How a representation stays consistent with the underlying asset and its records.

OPEN QUESTION 05

Conditional services

Whether services such as Chainlink CRE, CCIP or Proof of Reserve are needed—conditional future integrations only.

OPEN QUESTION 06

Market validation

Whether asset owners and eligible holders demonstrate real demand.

06 · 07 · 08 · Policy, evidence, settlement

Rules, proof and the final boundary.

06 · POLICY CONDITIONS

What rules may apply

  • Holder eligibility for transfer
  • Transfer restrictions
  • Jurisdiction-dependent requirements
  • Corporate-action and lifecycle rules

Represented as workflow conditions—not legal or regulatory determinations.

07 · EVIDENCE

What supports each transition

  • Asset-backing references
  • Lifecycle and corporate-action events
  • Transfer approvals
  • Reserve or attestation references from conditional future services

Referenced from its source, not certified by Novera.

08 · SETTLEMENT INTERFACE

Where Novera stops

Any on-network settlement would occur through a future network adapter. No production network is selected; Base is a leading candidate under evaluation and Hedera an optional future adapter.

09 · What Novera does not replace

Coordinate state. Preserve the authority.

No token issuance, securities registration, custody, brokerage, production smart contracts or tokenization infrastructure exist. NOVA and NovaStable are not part of the current MVP.
